The Liquidambar are rightly considered as one of the most colored high trees in autumn, with varying shades of yellow to red on the same tree, very changeable. Their growth is rapid.
Autumn colors are more beautiful in drained acidic soil, and with early frosts. The plants proposed here are from seedling.
Tree indigenous in North America, with pyramidal shape becoming round with age. The root system is deep, giving the tree good resistance to drought. The leaves are palmated, dark green in summer, and take in autumn beautiful colours yellow, orange to bright red. Branches develop corky coasts.
