This Maple is an improvement of the ACER pseudoplatanus 'Spaethi' discovered in Canada. Its main feature is to have two-colored leaves, dark green above and velvety purple on the reverse. In autumn the leaves turn golden yellow on top, bright red on the reverse. In the spring the young shoots are orange: a festival of colors!
