This small recent tree (obtained 1981) is very attractive by its spreading habit. It may be branched from the base, or on short stem.
Because of its North American origin, this Cercis requires more moist soil in summer and is less tolerant for aridity than Judas Tree.
Small tree with spreading habit, with large heart-shaped purple leaves, deciduous. Light pink flowering occurs on 2-years old wood, and begins before the leaves in March-April.
