Dark purple colored spikes, 3 to 4 cm high, appear from June to September, with short sterile petals (about 1 cm) light pink. The floral stems are quite short, which keeps the compact silhouette of the shrub.
Prune very short after flowering (July), above the 3-4 lowest green shoots on the branches but never back to the old wood, to keep a harmonious shape. With this pruning once a year, French Lavender can live 10-12 years.
Selection of compact French Lavender, with vivid pink blooming reflowering through all summer, easy grown in pots.
