Wide habit, flexible, more airy than most other flowering cherries. It can also be advantageously grown as multistem. Flowering is also one of the earliest in cherry trees.
Do not prune too short. Flowering can be shortened by frosts.
Small deciduous tree with a well flared light habit, obtained in the middle of the 20th century in England. At the end of winter, the tree is covered with pendulous semi-double flowers, light pink, about 4 cm Ø, followed by some small black cherries appreciated by birds. The foliage gives a light shade, and colors nicely in autumn with yellow, orange and red.
