Good plant for Atlantic coastal places, supports less arid conditions than Pittosporum tobira. Can form a small tree, and sow itself (without being invasive).
Evergreen shrub native to New Zealand, small obovate leaves grey-green irregularly margined with white, black twigs. Spring bloom in small black purple bells, discreet but very fragrant.
