Good plant for Atlantic coastal places, supports less arid conditions than Pittosporum tobira. Can form a small tree, and sow itself (without being invasive).
Evergreen shrub native to New Zealand, with young shoots splashed with creamy white becoming a little more green when older, contrasting with black stems. The foliage is rosy with cool nights. Spring bloom in small black purple bells, discreet but very fragrant.
