This variety is a natural mutation of 'Golf Ball'. Its small leaves are golden yellow margined with green, and then become clear green. It is very compact and grows naturally in a ball shaped habit. Resistant to drought, it is an alternative to boxwood in temperate and Mediterranean regions.
