Vigorous variety with high development, forming a dense hiding foliage, excellent hedge plant or in isolated or group of 3-5 plants. Good resistance to coastal conditions (salt).
Good plant for Atlantic coastal places, supports less arid conditions than Pittosporum tobira. Can form a small tree, and sow itself (without being invasive).
Evergreen shrub native to New Zealand, small obovate leaves greyish green edged with white and pink, purple in cold weather, black twigs. Spring bloom in small black purple bells, discreet but very fragrant.
