Good plant for Atlantic coastal places, supports less arid conditions than Pittosporum tobira. Can form a small tree, and sow itself (without being invasive).
Evergreen shrub native to New Zealand, small bright yellow obovate leaves edged with green becoming green as they get older, very luminous, contrasting with black branches. Spring bloom in small black purple bells, discreet but very fragrant.
