Small evergreen shrub of heather earth, rounded, orange-red obovate leaves becoming shiny dark green. The flowering takes place in early spring, in the form of hanging clusters of small bells, melliferous. 'Red Mill' is a vigorous upright variety with young shoots crimson red then bright red, and pure white melliferous blooming.
