Vigorous, easy-growing variety that combines young red shoots in spring with abundant dark pink flowers.
Plant for acid soil, aerated, remaining wet in summer, and exposure not too sunny or hot.
Small evergreen shrub of heather earth, rounded, orange-red obovate leaves becoming shiny dark green. The flowering takes place in early spring, in the form of hanging clusters of small bells, melliferous. 'Passion' is an improvement of 'Valley Valentine' obtained at Praktijkonderzoek Plant & Omgeving BV in Wageningen (Netherlands) in 2005. It has an erect habit, and clusters of very dark pink bells, clearly visible over the foliage.
