Hardy plant up to zone 7, very resistant to drought, growing in any soil even degraded (pebbles, rubble). Original flowering of bright color, melliferous. Foliage more whitish and flowers more vivid than fruticosa, plant a little more vigorous.
Prune the plant just after flowering (July) to maintain a rounded shape. Never return to old wood (prune over a leafy bud).
Small evergreen shrub of East-Mediterranean origin. Very resistant to drought, its shoots and underside of leaves are whitish and hairy. Leaves, narrow and long, are gray-green with silver border. Mid-spring, the clusters rise, and carry many golden yellow flowers, bilabiate, melliferous.
