Remarks

Bananas are propagated in vitro (Tissue Culture). Very fast growing, their sales period is very short (especially for the plugs) in spring. Requires very rich soil, drained and constantly wet in summer.

This variety of Musa basjoo is a compact Chinese selection with shorter and wider leaves than the type, perhaps more hardy. The third year of growth of a pseudo-trunk, flowers then fruits appear, which can ripen in USDA zone 9 or higher.
