Main asset

A very dense, occulting, vigorous plant. The bloom is very melliferous. Tolerant prunning, the Japanese Privet is mainly used in hedges, but can also be used as a shade tree or in alignment.

Remarks

Very solid plant, supporting all types of soil, exposure, and pollution resistant.

Evergreen upright shrub with bright green, coriaceous broad dark green leaves. The young leaves are bronze. The small white flowers in clusters appear in summer, very fragrant, and followed by oblong, black fruits.
