Purple blue colored spikes, 3 to 4 cm high, appear from May to Juner, with short sterile petals (about 1 cm) ivory white. The floral stems are quite short, which keeps the compact silhouette of the shrub.
Prune very short after flowering (July), above the 3-4 lowest green shoots on the branches but never back to the old wood, to keep a harmonious shape. With this pruning once a year, French Lavender can live 10-12 years.
This French Lavender, selected by Fairweather in England, has unusually inflorescences : the spike is purplish blue, crowned with ivory bracts.
