Large shrub with spreading habit, leaves and stems covered with purplish soft hairs, and large purple Lacecap inflorescences. Basic pH tolerance superior to other Hydrangea.
Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
This Hydrangea of Himalayan origin prefers moist situations, but tolerates a slightly basic pH. Forming a large shrub (up to 2 meters), its stems and leaves are covered with purple hairs. Its large flat inflorescences (Ø 15 cm) develop in July and consist of small fertile purple flowers surrounded by sterile white-pink flowers.
