Lilac of small development. Light clusters highly scented, red in buttons then evolving pink dark, in May-June with reblooming until September. This American selection is considered to be stronger and less susceptible to diseases than other varieties of Syringa microphylla.
Prune the plant in late winter to keep its rounded shape.
Syringa microphylla is native to northern China. Deciduous shrubs of small development, they have a compact habit, small dark green ovate leaves yellowing in autumn, and a light spring bloom, very fragrant, sporadically reblooming until early autumn.
