Main asset
Shape well rounded like the recent Japanese Spireas, but unusual dark purple foliage contrasting with pink bloom. Easy plant.
Remarks
Prune shortly in late winter to encourage a vigorous and colorful growth.
This French selection (Jean-Paul Davasse) has a foliage initially red becoming purple. The flowering in pink corymbs in late spring contrasts with the dark foliage. In summer the foliage becomes dark green, the yellow shoots remaining red and purple if the vegetation is maintained.
