Uncommon shrub, with unusual summer flowering, melliferous. Very good resistance to drought and sun.
Remarks
The plant is also grown for medicinal purposes. Avoid excessively humid soils in winter, and protect from cold winds.
Erected shrub native from dry highlands of South America, resembling a heather. Its summer flowering shows small mauve tubular flowers.
