Plant very tolerant to dry conditions and salty spray, well adapted to occultation or defensive hedges. Discrete flowering but very fragrant in late summer (embalming to more than 10 meters).
Elaeagnus plants are well adapted to littoral zones. Elsewhere, they fear cold winds. Because of their strength, they must be pruned several times a year.
Thorny evergreen tufted shrub, dark green leaves with silver-gray underside. The young leaves are silvery, then mark with large irregular bright yellow and light green center. Vigorous shoots appear regularly from low branches, forming arched branches rising above the foliage.
