Beyond the cold, Cistuses badly bear the wintry humidity. A light size after the blooming allows to keep them in a compact shape; never cut on old wood because the plant would never restart.
Thickset shrub persisting in round port(bearing), small dark green elongated sheets(leaves). Summer blooming of solitary flowers in 5 petals of 4-5 cm diameter, crumpled, pure white with purple mackle.
