Deciduous ground cover shrub, very suckering, native from the northern United States and Canada. The branches are rooting by natural layering with ground contact. The oval leaves are medium green, and turn yellow in autumn. The bark, green, turns bright yellow in the sun, and is particularly decorative in winter.
