Beautiful blooming with colorful bracts, shinny fall colors. Grow isolate in slightly shaded situation rather cool in summer.
Not suitable in dry or too hot exposure in summer. Anthracnose (black spots on the leaves) appears in too wet and confined weather conditions.
American Dogwood forming a dense shrub or a small tree. The deciduous foliage edged with white becomes red orange in autumn. The small flowers in clusters are surrounded by four large pink bracts in May.
