Vigorous shrub, ornamental from spring to autumn, for defensive hedges up to 2 meters height.
Remarks
Hybrid Berberis thunbergii x Berberis vulgaris 'Purpurea'. Sensitive to powdery mildew in windy or arid conditions.
Vigorous thorny deciduous shrub with purple foliage. Smaller leaves than 'Auricoma', often used as rootstock. Pale yellow bloom in May-June, followed by red ovoid berries in late summer.
