'Gulf Stream' is a dwarf form derived from Nandina domestica 'Compacta', found at nurseries Hines Horticulture Inc. (California) in 1983, with a slightly weeping foliage. The young shoots are pale red in spring, then become light green in summer. In June, panicles of creamy white flowers appear, then followed by red berries. In Autumn, following strong contrasts of day / night temperatures, foliage turns blushed again.
