Dwarf Heavenly Bamboo, mutation of 'Gulf Stream' discovered at Magnolia Gardens Nurseries (Texas) in 1985 (named OBSESSION™ 'Seika' in USA). The evergreen leaves appear pinkish purple in spring, become dark green-purple in summer, and red-orange in autumn and winter. In addition, clusters of white light melliferous flowers appear in July-August, and are followed by red berries in autumn : a permanent show !
