Very vigorous plant with spectacular flowering. 'Lennei' has more purple flowers and longer flowering than the soulangeana type.

Remarks

This hybrid of Magnolia denudata x M. liliiflora was obtained in France at the beginning of the XIXth century. It is intended for large gardens or parks, because of its important development.

Large shrub evolving in tree, this deciduous Magnolia of great development has a spread rounded habit. Before the growth of the leaves, it is covered with large tulip-shaped flowers of Ø 15 cm, slightly fragrant, purple pink with pale pink to white interior. They are followed by irregular red conical fruits.
