Rounded compact habit, leaves margined of bright white.
Plant for acid soil, aerated, remaining wet in summer, and exposure not too sunny or hot. Sometimes also called (incorrectly) 'Little Heath Variegata'.
Small evergreen shrub of heather earth, rounded, orange-red obovate leaves becoming shiny dark green. The flowering takes place in early spring, in the form of hanging clusters of small bells, melliferous. 'Little Heath' is a dwarf variety, with young pinkish leaves becoming light green edged with white.
