A very bright white flowering that awakens the shrub beds at the end of winter, and attracts bees.
This variety is a selection of Nurseries Caroliniana (South Carolina). It requires a place sheltered from cold winds, and acid soil, very draining, fertile. It also gives excellent results in pots, where it is easy to maintain and to keep foliage well dense.
Loropetalum are small shrubs not very common, with small elliptic evergreen leaves, often softly spreading shape, and an original Hamamelis-shaped bloom in late winter and spring.
Most of the current varieties have purple foliage and dark pink flowers, CAROLINA MOONLIGHT 'NCI002' is the opposite : light green foliage and white bloom, it allows a striking contrast with its sisters, in pots or sheltered shrub beds.
