The plant, easy to grow, solid and rustic, is melliferous. The red berries persist on the shrub after the fall of the leaves, and feed the birds in winter.

Deciduous shrub with small green leaves, becoming orange-yellow in autumn. The end of spring pinkish-white bloom is followed by bright red spherical berries, staying on the shrub in autumn and at the beginning of winter.
